INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

On December 19, 2015 at about 11:18 pm, Officers from the Pomona Police Department responded to a traffic collision which had occurred in the 1700 Blk of S. Garey Av. Upon arrival, officers located a red Toyota Corolla involved in a solo collision into a palm tree in the center median of Garey Av. The solo occupant of the vehicle received major injuries and despite attempts from the officers as well as the Los Angeles County Fire Department to render medical treatment, the driver was pronounced deceased on scene. The Los Angeles County Coroner is investigating the cause of death. The collision is being investigated by the Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
