Fontana, Calif.- The City of Fontana would like to remind the public that the Fontana Days Run and Parade will be taking place this Saturday, June 3, 2017, which will require street closures for extended periods of time. The street closures will be the following:
Fontana Days Run
Northbound Sierra #2 lane from Arrow Avenue to Upland Avenue, will be closed on Friday June 2, 2017 from 6:00 a.m. to the end of race festivities on Saturday, June 3, 2017.
Sierra Avenue will be closed from Arrow Blvd north to the community of Lytle Creek from 6:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Sierra Avenue off -ramps and on-ramps at the I-15 and 210 Freeways to close between 6:00 a.m. -7:00 a.m. Message Boards were placed on freeways on Thursday, May 25th to alert drivers. Advance warning signs placed on Sierra Avenue north of Foothill Blvd. to Glen Helen Pkwy and for east and westbound traffic at major intersections were set out May 22-24.
Fontana Days Parade
Sierra Avenue from Upland Avenue to Randall Avenue will be closed from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2017. Arrow Blvd. between Juniper and Mango and Merrill between Juniper and Palmetto to be affected from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
