Young Eagles Event June 25th Sunday at 10 AM - 12:30 PM

Calling All Future Pilots!!
What is Young Eagles?

Young Eagles is a way that EAA 92 “shares its passion for aviation with our future.”
EAA's Young Eagles program was launched on July 30, 1992 to introduce young people worldwide, aged 8 - 17, to the world of aviation by providing a flight in a general aviation aircraft. Flights are offered free of charge through the generosity of our EAA members and volunteers. Since the beginning, more than 1.9+ million Young Eagles have been flown with more than 40,000 EAA Members volunteering their time, aircraft and expenses to participate.

Important Information

Young Eagles events are weather dependent.
Safety is our highest priority. If there are low clouds or high winds, flights may be delayed, rescheduled, or canceled. You will be notified by email if any changes have occurred.

Every child needs a Registration Form.
Download, fill out, and bring the Registration Form.

No guarantee is given to walk-ins.
Every event, kids show up who have not signed up. Though we do everything we can to fit them into the day’s program (and we usually succeed), we cannot guarantee a flight.

Young Eagles events may offer Merit Badge sign-offs.
EAA 92 relies on Scout leader volunteers to issue the credits.

The flight is FREE for children ages 8-17.
The Young Eagles flight is provided at no cost to the child's family. We do, however, appreciate any donations to cover expenses. For more information, see the "Donations" section at the bottom of the page.

What should I expect?

Please arrive at the event location no later than your scheduled time, and expect to stay for about 3 1/2 hours. After check-in and orientation, you will be able to tour one of the world class air museums. You may have a checklist of exhibits to see before your flight. Later, you have the chance to learn from people with experience in the aviation community on certain Ground School subjects. Finally, one of our pilots will take you up on a 20 to 30 minute flight for the experience of a lifetime. Lunch will be provided to Young Eagles, and available for purchase by parents.

EAA 92 was blessed with the opportunity to show off one of our events with Discover Orange County, a TV series that airs on Cox Communications Channel 3, 4, 8, and Charter 188. For a truly immersive preview of what a day as a Young Eagle is like, watch the video to the right.
