•Orlando Perez, 28, Los Angeles Resident- Parole Violation
•Maria Valencia, 18, Pomona Resident- Possession of a Stolen Vehicle
•Justin Barragan, 29, Ontario Resident,- Possession of a Controlled Substance
•Christian Menjivar, 28, Pomona Resident- Outstanding Arrest Warrant
•Ivan Arizaga, 34, Pomona Resident- Possession of a Controlled substance
•Cesar Castro, 22, Pomona Resident- Outstanding Arrest Warrant
•Haro Ramiro, 29, Pomona Resident- Probation Violation
NARRATIVE: On July 7, 2017 during the evening hours the Pomona Police Department's Major Crimes Task Force, the San Bernardino Probation Department, State Parole, and the California Highway Patrol conducted a gang sweep throughout the City of Pomona. The purpose of the operation was to take a ZERO TOLERANCE APPROACH TO ANY AND ALL GANG MEMBERS committing criminal offenses. For offenders under Probation Department supervision, if in technical violation, the purpose was to get them back into compliance and arrest offenders who were found to be out of compliance. The operation resulted in the arrest of 9 subjects for various criminal related offenses, and the recovery of a loaded firearm.
The Major Crimes Task Force is committed to the continued safety of Pomona citizens through the reduction of gang violence.
