How good it was to read "In many cases, replacing windows is not necessary and can damage the value of a historic building" in the city manager's report last week. City Planning released the new guidelines for historic windows and solar panels and the Mills Act application has been updated. So much of the good work that is happening is thanks to the hard work of the Historic Preservation Commissioners and to Geoffrey Starns the city's new Historic Preservation Supervisor.
