Dayday and Duke's giving out free meals

Local establishments are reaching out to the community and offering free Thanksgiving meals to those in need.
On Wednesday, Nov. 21 the Salvation Army in Pomona is offering a free traditional Thanksgiving meal from 5 to 8 pm. The Salvation Army's Crusader Brass Band will be providing entertainment and playing Christmas carols to further incite the holiday spirit.
On Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 22, a new restaurant in Pomona will offer free breakfast. Dayday and Duke's Wafflehouse will serve free country style breakfast to the needy and homeless from 9 to 11 am. Volunteers, along with restaurant staff, will help serve the meals. Duke's is located at 994 E. Holt Blvd. here in Pomona.
