On my way to Lincoln School when I was a kid

I use to walk up Palomares then cross Holt, this house at 305 East Holt use to sit on the northeast corner. The first picture was taken in 1951, then one day as I was going to school they had this tractor tearing it down. Then they built a Hull House Restaurant and behind it on Pasadena St. where the parking lot is now. Use to be big red house with a big red barn. Now if you look real close on the old and new pictures, you can still see the stone wall which was saved and also the palm tree. And on the other side where the parking lot is now, the only thing left of the old house is a palm tree which stood right in front, of the old red house.
