57 Fwy Lanes Blocked Following Major Accident

 
6:30 p.m.] The 57 Freeway was temporarily closed as a helicopter transported injured parties of a major crash Tuesday afternoon.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday on the northbound 57 freeway near Auto Center Drive in San Dimas, blocking four lanes.
There were at least two vehicles involved in the collision, although there is currently little information on how the accident occurred.
According to a California Highway Patrol representative, an unknown number of individuals were trapped in their vehicles and had to be extricated by Los Angeles County Fire. The injured victims were transported by helicopter to the hospital.
CHP investigated the accident. The freeway was temporarily closed in both directions as the helicopter landed to transport the victims.
Four lanes on the northbound 57 freeway were closed during the investigation.
