Construction on the Metro Gold Line extension is headed to Azusa, as Foothill Boulevard will be closed Friday evening for the construction of two new bridges.
There will be a full closure of Foothill Boulevard, between Vernon Avenue and Orange Avenue in Azusa, 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, as crews begin work on the bridges over Foothill Boulevard for the Foothill extension project from Pasadena to Azusa.
The closure ends the following Saturday morning at 6 a.m. when a single lane in each direction opens. Sidewalk access will also be closed.
There will be a detour route in place. Motorists are advised to expect delays and plan alternative routes.
