MHS Robotics Hosts FIRST® Tech Tournament

 

After a successful qualifying season it is now our turn to give back to the greater Los Angeles FIRST robotics community. This, Saturday (February 2, 2013) our program will be hosting a LA regional FIRST® Tech Challenge (FTC) Qualifying Tournament. Our event will serve over 240 local and regional robotics students for head-to-head robotic competition fun! We will not be competing ourselves but instead will be running the tournament supplying judges, referees, inspectors, and announcers. The event is free and very spectator friendly (it will be especially good for those younger kids who are interested in robots).
Come by and check us out between 10-4pm at the MHS Event Center.
So far this season, our teams: the Suitbots (#4628), Kings & Queens (#4625) and Deatbolts (#4153) have competed in LA regional qualifying tournaments in Pasadena, Palm Springs, Claremont and Antelope Valley with tremendous success. All have qualified for the LA regional championships which will be held at Monrovia High School on March 2 2013. The Robotic LAFTC Championships will be part of the huge science expo which will kick-off the ISS Downlink Event.
