A record turnout for the 2013 President’s Dinner Gala netted a record amount in fundraising for student scholarships as longtime La Verne faithful and new friends alike turned out for an elegant evening at Sheraton Fairplex Hotel’s new Conference Center.
With KABC-TV personality Sid Garcia as master of ceremonies, the University of La Verne honored David and Priscilla Lizárraga for their lifelong commitment to service in the Southern California community.
The Lizárragas are the driving force behind TELACU, an organization that empowers hardworking families and entrepreneurs in underserved communities by providing access to capital.
