Detectives to Reveal Details of Bank Burglary Investigation
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials announced today they will hold a news conference on Wednesday to discuss the arrest of five burglars suspected of burglarizing bank vaults in Diamond Bar and Rowland Heights.*
Sheriff Baca is scheduled to lead the press conference that will include detective from the Major Crimes Division.
Officials said they would discuss the year-long investigation into a bank heist crew that used power tools to break into several cement vaults through the bank’s rooftop, officials said.
The as of yet unnamed men were taken into custody on April 5 and are believed to be responsible for at least three bank burglaries in the Walnut, Diamond Bar and Rowland Heights area, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s said.
The estimated monetary loss is in the millions, officials said. Following the arrests, deputies served search warrants at seven locations that led detectives to additional evidence, officials said.

* Los Angeles County Sheriff's made a slight correction to information they provided. The banks targeted were in Diamond Bar and Rowland Heights. The suspects were booked at the Walnut Sheriff's Sheriff's station.
