Monrovia Firefighters to Ditch Fire Hoses for Spatulas

From the city manager's weekly report:
In a long standing tradition, the City’s firefighters will be ditching their helmets and grabbing for their chef hats on Saturday, May 11 for the Monrovia Firefighter Association’s Annual Pancake Breakfast.
From 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Station 101, 141 E. Lemon Avenue, fire fighters along with volunteers from the Knights of Columbus will be serving up the hot cakes in addition to offering fun activities such as a bouncy house, face painting, balloons and a junior challenge – which will include children getting the chance to dress up like a firefighter.
Tickets go on sale beginning this Friday and can be purchased at 141 E. Lemon Avenue. Tickets are $5 and free to kids under 3 years old. All proceeds go towards a local charity. Questions? Contact Anthony Gallegos at (626) 256-8102.
