Citrus Students Prep for Annual Hair Show

The annual Cosmetology Spring Hair Show will debut this year with a French flair.

Students of all skill levels from Citrus College's Cosmetology and Esthetician programs will put all those hours of studying and practice into the night's event. The theme for this year's show is Circ du Coiffure.

"It's kind of like Circ du Soleil, but it's a matter of how the students interpret the categories," said Patty Golver, Citrus College instructor and director of the Hair Show.

Students will compete against each other, with judging conducted by former cosmetology students, Hollywood makeup artists and local salon owners from the community.

Students have been planning and preparing the Hair Show since last week. The Cosmetology Dept. will be closed Wednesday and Thursday as students finalize their efforts for the show.

The Hair Show takes place May 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Haugh Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Performing Arts Center, or at the Cosmetology department located on the east side of the Citrus College campus south of the Barranca Avenue and Foothill Blvd. parking lot.
