Friday Essentials: Claremont Farmers Market, Friday Nights Live and Butterfly Pavilion’s Last Weekend
The last day for the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden’s Butterfly Pavilion is Sunday, July 28.
1. It’s Friday Nights Live in the Claremont Village. Listen to live music from 6 to 9 p.m. Performances include Squeekin’ Wheels (folk/bluegrass) at the Public Plaza, No Static (rock) at the Claremont Chamber and Steve Patrick Carrico Band (jazz/rock) at city hall.
2. It’s free admission for all active-duty military personnel, their immediate family members and veterans Saturday at the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, 1500 N. College Ave., Claremont. The garden is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit www.rsabg.org or call 625-8767 for more details.
3. Sunday, July 28 is the last day for the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden’s Butterfly Pavilion. Tickets are $2 in addition to the standard garden ticket.
4. Every Sunday is the Claremont Farmers & Artisans Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Second Street between Indian Hill Blvd and Yale Avenue.
5. Michaels in La Verne is hosting Passport to Imagination, a two-hour crafting session for children ages 5 and up. The class is from 10 a.m. to noon.
