Police were investigating the incident and have contacted child welfare workers.
A toddler was found walking unattended in a Woodland Hills neighborhood Monday, and police took the boy into protective custody and contacted his mother, who was apparently unaware her son had wandered off.
The boy, believed to be 2 years old, was found early this morning in the
23800 block of Friar Street, according to Los Angeles police Officer Gregory
Baek.
An investigation was being conducted, and child welfare workers were
notified.
