UPDATED: Cops Investigating Covina Parkland Crash

A little disagreement broke Friday afternoon through dispatchers for Los Angeles County sheriff's and Parks Bureau as to whom should take the report for the vehicle crash at Charter Oak County Park in Covina.

Each side called the other to tell them to take a report and the dispatchers went back and forth as to which agency was responsible.

A dispatcher for the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation told Patch that sheriff's deputies from the San Dimas station would take the crash report and the parks department would take the property damage report.

No injuries had been reported as of 5 p.m.

A vehicle driving through a playground in Covina Friday slammed into a parked cable truck but no injuries were immediately reported.

The crash on North Mangrove Avenue, near East Covina Boulevard, was reported just after 3 p.m.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were investigating the crash.
