NoHo Named 3rd Most Car-Free Hood in LA

It looks like efforts to revitalize the North Hollywood Arts District with new development projects, restaurants, theaters and gyms in close proximity is paying off.

NoHo was ranked by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority as the third-most car-free neighborhood in Los Angeles.

As reported in The Source, Metro says NoHo is the San Fernando Valley that's most connected to public transit.

"It’s a 10-minute ride to Hollywood and a 25-minute ride to the heart of downtown L.A. on the Red Line — with easy transfers at Wilshire/Vermont to the Purple Line and at 7th/Metro Center to the Blue Line and Expo Line," the article read.

Overall, Metro gave NoHo scores of 65 for good transit, 86 for being very walkable and 68 for being bikeable.
