Rose Royce Close Out Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series Saturday
R&B and American Soul group Rose Royce will play the final free Marina del Rey Summer Concert Saturday.
Rose Royce, one of the most popular 1970s R&B and American Soul groups in America will close out the free Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series in Burton Chace Park Saturday evening.
Rose Royce's performance is the final concert of the summer series which as seen such other artists as Billy Ocean, Poncho Sanchez and Taylor Dayne in addition to performances by the Marina del Rey Summer Symphony.
According to organizers, Rose Royce was best known for multiple hit singles in the 1970s including Car Wash, I Wanna Get Next to You, I'm Going Down and Wishing on a Star.
The concert, which begins at 7 p.m. in Burton Chace Park, is free and open to the public.
Burton Chase Park is located at 13650 Mindanao Way, Marina del Rey. Parking for concerts is available in county parking lots 4, 5 and 6 for a fee.
Both the Marina del Rey WaterBus and the Beach Shuttle will also run during concerts with stops at Burton Chase Park.
