A NEW DAY AT THE LIBRARY



Everyone is invited to the Pomona Public Library’s “A New Day at the Library” which is Thursday, Sept. 5, with programs starting at 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm.  The City of Pomona has added new hours of service to the Library starting the first of September. One hour is added to each day Monday through Wednesday and one new day, Thursday.
New Hours for the Library are:
Monday – Thursday 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Saturday 12 noon – 5:00 pm
Closed Fridays and Sundays.
  • A NEW DAY begins at the Library at 3:30 pm with Balloons, Children’s storytime and crafts and  information tables about the Library. At 5:30 pm short introductions of the four Library support groups  Friends of the Pomona Public Library, Board of Trustees of PPL, PPL Foundation, and SOPPL)  followed by cake and punch.
The support groups will be available to talk and to hand out their materials. Friends will be inside the Library by the Friends’ Bookstore to explain the October 12 Walk-A-Thon, a fundraiser to help the  Library add updated health and wellness books.  Friends will take sign ups for the Walk-AThon.
The Friends also have the Orange Crate Label reproductions  and blankets made by the Claremont Senior Citizens Services  for sale. These are donations to help us with our fundraising for the Library.
We have special bags of goodies for the children (limited to the first 50 children to come to the patio by the Bookstore.)
