Rancho Cucamonga Service Fair set Sept. 21
The city’s first Service Fair will be held Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Central Park celebrating and promoting volunteerism throughout the community.
This “family friendly” fair features over 60 interactive booths presented by local businesses, community organizations, service groups, churches, and schools. In addition, there will be live entertainment, gourmet food trucks, a DJ, and fair-type food for purchase.
The Rancho Cucamonga Community Services along with the Rancho Cucamonga Service Council are partnering to put on the event. Thrivent Financial is the title sponsor and the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes is the media sponsor. Other sponsors include Molina Healthcare, The Rivers Edge Church, The Rancho Cucamonga Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Out Reach Nation.
The idea for the Service Fair came from the RC Service Council. Organized in May 2012, the service council was formed to unite various service group efforts throughout Rancho Cucamonga as well as promote and share service opportunities. Information: rcservicefair.com.
