The American Heart Association's Inland Empire Heart & Stroke Walk

The American Heart Association's Inland Empire Heart & Stroke Walk is a non-competitive 5K walk which will raise awareness and much-needed funds to fight our community’s leading killers – heart disease and stroke.

The event was designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living in an environment that is fun and rewarding for the entire family. Studies have shown that walking has the lowest dropout rate of any physical activity and can significantly reduce the risk for cardiovascular diseases. In fact, walking regularly – for as little as thirty minutes a day – can lower LDL (bad cholesterol) levels, lower high blood pressure, and extend longevity while improving quality of life.
