Power is not expected to be restored until 6 a.m. Monday.
Hundreds of Southern California Edison customers in La Verne lost power today due to the failure of underground equipment, the utility reported.
The outage started at 11:52 a.m. and initially affected 653 customers, said SCE spokesman Paul Netter.
By 12:41, power had been restored to all but 119 accounts, Netter said.
He said the rest might not have power restored until 6 a.m on Monday.
The affected area was bordered by First Street to the north, Bonita Avenue to the south, Bolton Avenue to the east and Madison Avenue to the West, Netter said.
