Southland Gasoline Prices Rise Again
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the sixth time in seven days, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.613.
The average price is 3.1 cents more than one week ago, but 12.3 cents less than one month ago and 17.5 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price dropped for 30 consecutive days and 65 of the previous 66 to its lowest amount since Dec. 27, 2011, before beginning to increase on Saturday.
The Orange County average price also rose for the sixth time in seven days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.595. It is 3.8 cents more than one week ago, but 10.7 cents less than one month ago and 15.5 cents lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped for 18 consecutive days and 65 of the previous 66 to its lowest amount since Dec. 27, 2012 before beginning to increase on Saturday.
