Every year on January 24, people across the nation celebrate National Compliment Day.
Compliment:  an expression of praise, commendation, or admiration: A sincere compliment boosts one’s morale.
Compliment:  an expression of praise, congratulation or encouragement.
Today would be a great day to take the opportunity to say something positive to the people that you come in contact with.  National Compliment Day is an “unofficial” holiday that is celebrated by offering sincere compliments to people you know and those you may just be meeting.  Let us all together make someone’s day better!

This day was created in 1998 by Kathy Chamberlin, of Hopkinton, NH and Debby Hoffman, of Concord, NH.

       NATIONAL PEANUT BUTTER DAY

National Peanut Butter Day is celebrated each year on January 24 by peanut butter lovers across the country.
A staple in most American homes, peanut butter is made primarily from ground dry roasted peanuts.  Most commonly used as a sandwich spread, it is also popular for a snack food combined with crackers, apples, celery, carrots, bananas and etc. and is often used as an ingredient in cookies, cakes, pies, ice cream and many other desserts.
*The United States is a leading exporter of peanut butter. *
Peanut butter comes in creamy, chunky or natural and is an excellent source of protein and healthy fat.
Fun Peanut Butter Facts:
*  It takes about 540 peanuts to make a 12 ounce jar of peanut butter
*  Peanut butter was first sold in the United States at the Universal Exposition in St. Louis by C.H. Sumner.  He sold $705.11 of the “new treat” at his concession stand.
*  Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup was introduced to America in 1928
*  The oldest operating manufacturer and seller of peanut butter has been selling peanut butter since 1908.
*  Peanut butter was the controlling secret behind “Mr. Ed.” TV’s talking horse.
*  Americans spend almost $800 million a year on peanut butter
