First of Three Full Weekend Closures of San Gabriel Ave in Azusa Begins this Weekend, April 4-7

Friday, April 4 at 3 PM thru Monday, April 7, 2014 at 5 AM
Friday, April 11 at 9 AM thru Monday, April 14, 2014 at 5 AM
Friday, April 25 at 9 AM thru Monday, April 28, 2014 at 5 AM
Note: The full closure will not occur during the Easter holiday weekend. Work hours will be 7 AM to 11 PM during the weekend closures.
WHERE: San Gabriel Ave at the railroad crossing (between Ninth St and Foothill Blvd), Azusa
The first of three full weekend closures of San Gabriel Ave at the railroad crossing (between Ninth St and Foothill Blvd) will take place tomorrow, Friday, April 4 starting at 3 PM and continue through Monday, April 7 at 5 AM. These closures are required to allow crews to install track and signal work at the railroad crossing.
Following this weekend's closure, two additional weekend closures will be required to complete the grade crossing work. Timing of those weekend closures are shown above.
The street and sidewalk will be closed to thru-traffic in both directions during the weekend closures. Detours and signage will be in place to guide motorists and pedestrians around the construction activity.
Access to local residences and businesses will remain open at all times. We encourage you to take the time to help local businesses during these closures.
