Man who Baked Pot-Laced Brownies Given to School Children Gets 3 Years

Isaac Adam Greer pleaded guilty Monday to furnishing marijuana to a minor and sales of marijuana to a minor and was immediately sentenced.
A 33-year-old man who admitted baking marijuana into brownies that sickened Costa Mesa students last year has been sentenced to three years behind bars, Costa Mesa police announced today.
Isaac Adam Greer of Costa Mesa was arrested last month, a year after students at Pomona Elementary School and TeWinkle Middle School fell ill after eating the laced treats, according to Costa Mesa police Lt. Greg Scott.
Greer pleaded guilty Monday to furnishing marijuana to a minor and sales of marijuana to a minor and was immediately sentenced, Scott said.
Three TeWinkle seventh graders had to be taken to a hospital last April after taking a bite out of a marijuana-laced brownie, about a month after seven Pomona Elementary students also got a dose of a pot-laced sweet.
When police served search warrants in the investigation investigators seized 50 pounds of marijuana, brownie cake mix, business cards, which were handed out to students, scales for weighing the drugs, vacuum packaging equipment and bags, Scott said.
