NATIONAL CATFISH DAY
In the United States, National Catfish Day is a national observance each year on June 25 celebrating “the value of farm-raised catfish”.- A diverse group of ray-finned fish, catfish are named for their prominent barbels, which resemble cat whiskers.
- Catfish are nocturnal.
- Catfish are a good source of Vitamin D.
- Thriving in clean freshwater ponds on many American farms, catfish are surface-fed soybean meal, corn, fish meal, vitamins and minerals.
- In the United States, the most commonly eaten species are channel catfish and blue catfish.

A big day for crafters, June 25 celebrates National Leon Day. Leon is Noel spelled backwards and June 25 marks the six month point until Christmas.Crafters across America begin thinking about their ideas and plans for homemade crafts for Christmas and gifts for the upcoming season, which is the favorite crafting holiday for many.
On National Leon Day, retailers have been known to offer special deals and Christmas promotions, radio stations may play some Christmas music and reminders by nonprofit organizations, like the Salvation Army, may be issued to raise awareness of the need for year-round funds used to assist those in need.

NATIONAL STRAWBERRY PARFAIT DAY
National Strawberry Parfait Day is annually celebrated on June 25.A frozen dessert dating back to 1894, parfait, from French, means “perfect”.
Parfait, in the United States, refers to the traditional French-style dessert or to a variant of it, known as the American parfait. The American version is made up of layers parfait cream, ice cream and/or flavored gelatin in a tall, clear glass and traditionally topped with whipped cream, liqueurs and/or fruit. Yogurt, granola and nuts are sometimes used as layers in place of some, or all, of the the traditional layers.
Celebrating today’s holiday, strawberries would be the fruit of choice, to be included in the parfait.
