One person was critically injured and three others are in fair condition after their small fishing boat struck submerged rocks today near the breakwater in San Pedro.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the scene in the area of 2945 Miner St. at 6:17 a.m., said Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Main said the boaters radioed the U.S. Coast Guard and were rescued and transported by Los Angeles County lifeguards to a nearby Los Angeles City Fire Department fire station, where paramedics transported them to an area hospital.
All four boaters were males, she said.
