Two Arrested Following Road Rage Incident in Glendora

The threats and reported assault occurred at the USA Gasoline station in the 100 block of East Route 66.

Police arrested two men for allegedly threatening and assaulting a man following an incident of road rage in Glendora early Tuesday.
The threats and reported assault occurred at the USA Gasoline station in the 100 block of East Route 66. Police were notified about 2 a.m., said Glendora police Lt. Rob Lamborghini.
The victim and the two men, Hunter Aaron Rodriguez, 26, and Damien Zacharias Tayechea, 36, were involved in an incident of road rage when they both pulled into the station, Lamborghini said.
The victim made a 911 call to report that he had just been threatened with a knife by a suspect who left the location, Lamborghini said.
"He provide us a (license) plate that was very close (to the actual license plate numbers)," Lamborghini said, adding that a subsequent investigation also placed the suspects at a nearby fast food restaurant.
Rodriguez was arrested about 1:30 p.m. at his Glendora home and Tayechea was arrested about 12:15 p.m. at his La Verne home, according to the Sheriff's Inmate Information Center.
Rodriguez was booked for assault with a deadly weapon and Tayechea for making criminal threats, said Lamborghini, describing the weapon as a "small folding knife."
Both men were held in lieu of $50,000 bail each and both men posted bail and were released about 7 p.m., he said. Arraignment is expected for Thursday at the West Covina Courthouse.
