Attention San Bernardino County artists: Art conference coming up

If you are an artist in San Bernardino County, save this date: Sept. 13.
Artists and organizations promoting the arts in San Bernardino County will convene on that day at Victoria Gardens Cultural Center to discuss ways to boost the creative arts in the region.
Through a series of speakers, workershops and roundtable discussions, organizers of the first-ever Arts Conference Connection hope people will be inspired to make the arts -- from those to perform to those who teach it -- more of a force.

The event will also serve as a platform for discussing the state of the arts in the area.
The conference is organized by the Arts Connection --the Arts Council of San Bernardino County (housed at Cal State San Bernardino’s Visual Arts Center) and Victoria Gardens Cultural Center.
“San Bernardino County is filled with talented artists and designers, performers, curators, arts educators, arts administrators and a variety of arts professionals, who are making important contributions to our region and creative culture every day,” said Sant Khalsa, a professor emeritus of Cal State’s art department, in a news release. “A convening of these individuals with a fantastic line-up of conference presenters will make for a thought-provoking and inspiring day.”

The conference will be on from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Victoria Gardens Cultural Center, 2505 Cultural Center Drive, in Rancho Cucamonga.
Registration is available online at http://artsconnectionnetwork.org/event-reservation or by phone at (909) 537-5809.
