Motorists can expect full freeway closures on the 215 Freeway, between Iowa Avenue and Barton Road, for three consecutive weekends beginning September 5, Caltrans and other transportation agencies announced Tuesday.
Transportation officials held a press conference to announce the closures and warn motorists to avoid the “I-215 Summer Sting” slated for Friday and Saturday nights.
The closures are needed to complete railroad bridge work and move the final two truss spans into place across the freeway, according to Caltrans.
