Arabian horse show at Cal Poly Pomona

The W.K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Center puts on its regular horse shows on the Cal Poly Pomona campus on the first Sunday of each month between October and May in a specially designed arena with covered stands.
The shows date back to 1926 when Kellogg, the breakfast cereal pioneer, operated his ranch on the site of the university and had one of the largest Arabian breeding programs in the nation.
When Kellogg donated the ranch to the state of California, it was under the agreement that the breeding program and the regular horse shows would continue with the creation of Cal Poly’s campus.

The center, in the middle of the campus, also conducts special shows for field trips and groups.
