INCIDENT: Pedestrian Safety and Distracted Driving Campaign
DATE/TIME: Friday April 17th, 2015 8am-3pm
LOCATION: Various intersections within Pomona

The Pomona Police Department continued its enforcement efforts today by enforcing behaviors and actions that are dangerous to pedestrians and motorists alike.
Operations were conducted in various locations within Pomona specifically addressing drivers that fail to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks as well as distracted drivers. These behaviors can and do lead to serious collisions.
25 drivers were issued citations for failing to yield to pedestrians in crosswalks and 17 drivers were cited for cell phone/texting violations.
The Pomona Police Department will continue its efforts to reduce collisions and injuries to everyone who travels our roads.
