Domestic Violence and Parole Violator Captured

CRIME: 273.5 PC Domestic Violence
VICTIM: WITHHELD   F/29 yr old
SUSPECT; SOTO, MARIO DOB 2/24/88
This morning, Officers investigated a Domestic Violence incident that occurred where the suspect/boyfriend struck the victim with a gun. As a result, victim sustained a split lip.The suspect fled the location into the hill area adjacent the residence. The victim was taken to PVCH for treatment.
Later in the morning, the suspect returned to the residence, whereupon the police responded. A perimeter was set up when the suspect saw the officers and fled over a fence. The suspect attempted to hide under a bush, but was located and ordered out. The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody.
The suspect has two outstanding parole violation warrants as well as the additional charges of Domestic Violence, Assault w/Deadly Weapon, Resisting Arrest.
The suspect was held in the Pomona City jail.
