A two month gang related drug-trafficking investigation came to a successful conclusion after Officers served four search warrants Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, resulting in seven arrests....

The investigation, known as “Operation Checkmate,” began in July of this year through the collaborative efforts of Chino PD and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Southern California Drug Task Force. The operation targeted members and associates of the “Chino Sinners” street gang who were actively involved in the sales of narcotics in the city of Chino and surrounding areas in cooperation with the Mexican Mafia prison gang.

After identifying the suspects and obtaining the necessary evidence related to the drug ring, Officers from Chino PD, Pomona PD, Ontario PD and DEA served search warrants at four locations in the cities of Chino and Pomona (12900 block of fifth Street, Chino / 12900 block of 13th Street, Chino / 2300 block of Reservoir Street, Pomona / 300 block of Kingsley, Pomona). In addition to seven arrests for various charges, Officers seized a vehicle, handgun, ammunition, tens of thousands of dollars in cash, 8 ounces of methamphetamine and various drug sales paraphernalia.
