A little upgrade on the play ground at Central Park a.k.a Memorial Park and a.k.a Ol Mans Park

 

 

Well what they did was, replace that outdoor blue carpet, with some new blue carpet around the playground.

Now this is at Central Park a.k.a. Memorial Park a.k.a. Old Mans Park between 2nd St. and 3rd St.

 

The reason why I call it old Man's Park, is because back in the day, they use to hang out there and play horseshoes. And where the playground is that's where the shuffle board use to be.

And where the war memorial. that's where the horseshoe pits use to be at. I remember seeing them in the very early 1970's. But I guess they all died.

We use to play horseshoes there, until they finally took them out, they even had seats on both sides so on lookers could check out the action.

Damn! I miss those days
