Hit and Run Fatal Traffic Collision

INCIDENT: HIT & RUN FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

On Nov 15, 2015 at about 11:52 pm, Pomona Police Officers responded to the area of Holt Av and Garey Av regarding a report of a traffic collision involving a vehicle and pedestrian. Responding Officers found a male adult in the roadway that was struck by a vehicle. The driver of that vehicle fled the location without rendering aid.  Los Angeles County Fire Department Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian deceased at the scene. The name of the pedestrian is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Investigators are following investigative leads at this time in an effort to locate and identify the vehicle and driver involved in this collision. The vehicle has significant damage to the windshield area.
The collision is being investigated by the Pomona Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team and the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.
