Location: 2100 block of Pomona Blvd, Pomona, Ca.
Crime: 245 PC - Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Victim: Santos Galdamez, 57 years, Pomona resident.
Suspect: Michael Mack, 60 years, Pomona resident.
Suspect Vehicle: 1993 GMC Safari Van, white.
Unit: Patrol Division
On today's date, a Pomona Police Officer was hailed in the area of Valley and Humane. The person advised that he had just been shot on Pomona Blvd. As the Officer was obtaining more information, this Victim advised that the Suspect vehicle was just passing them.
Assisting Officers conducted a traffic stop a short distance away from the location. The suspect was positively identified as being the shooter by the victim and other witnesses.
The investigation revealed that the shooting was the result of some type of altercation related to vehicle parking at the location.
The victim was flown to an LA Hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Suspect Mack was booked at the Pomona City Jail on the indicated charges. The weapon used in the incident is still outstanding.
