Pomona Police Officers receive the PUSD Community Service Award for their dedication to the community.
The Pomona Unified School District recognized Pomona PD Officers Sean Gonzalez, Andrew Laterreur, and Tomas Ramirez (left to right) for their dedication to the community and schools in Pomona. PUSD and City dignitaries presented the Officers with the Community Service Award.
Traffic Officer Laterreur has dedicated countless hours to teaching children the importance of bicycle safety and what skills and precautions they need to develop to have a safe time on their bicycles.
Officers Sean Gonzalez and Tomas Ramirez have taught the G.R.E.A.T. program to hundreds of middle school students in many of our schools. Many of the students have completed and graduated from this valuable program. The Gang Resistance Education and Training program is intended as an immunization against delinquency, youth violence, and gang membership for children in the years immediately before the prime ages for introduction into gangs and delinquent behavior.
Pomona P.D. is proud of our Officers continuous dedication to our community and it's future.
