Pomona Receives WeTip Award
The City of Pomona was presented with the WeTip 2016 Model City of the Year Award.
The WeTip Model City of the Year Award depicts what crime prevention success can be achieved when there are Officers and City Government Officials working together to implement the WeTip program within their community.
The City of Pomona has been fortunate to ensure that our community is provided with a safe and anonymous resource to report illegal activity through WeTip. Pomona has promoted the WeTip program throughout the city and schools. All of the efforts and persistence of the Pomona PD Officers and Officials, throughout our long partnership, has brought the Pomona Police Department over 6,200 anonymous crime tips regarding possible illegal activity in the city.
Pomona is proud to be working with WeTip in a mutual effort to rid the city of crime. Today, Pomona PD was honored to receive the WeTip 2016 Model City of the Year Award. Captain Joann Guzek and members of the Crime Prevention Unit were present to receive the award.
