On May 23, 2016, Officers from the Pomona Police Department and Los Angeles County Probation arrested 7 adults during a directed enforcement detail along the Holt Ave Corridor in Pomona. Six of those suspects were arrested for 653.22 PC / Loitering with the Intent to Commit Prostitution and one suspect was arrested for 11364 H&S / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The Pomona Police Department continues to take a proactive approach to issues regarding Human Trafficking and Prostitution along the Holt Ave corridor. These types of operations serve as an opportunity for victims of Human Trafficking to speak with officers in private. Law enforcement and community advocates can direct victims to resources and possibly relocate them to safe locations away from their abusers.
