RailGiants Train Museum

Open free during second Saturday & Sunday of each month, except on Mother’s Day.
We are also open every day of The Los Angeles County Fair, at no additional charge!
See the Union Pacific Centennial DD40X diesel-powered locomotive, which measures nearly 100 feet in length, and weights over a half million pounds. The museum’s complete historical collection also includes:
  • The original Arcadia Train Station built in 1887, which was moved to Fairplex in 1969.
  • Four mainline railroad giant steam locomotives, which are the only survivors today in their respective classes.
  • Three smaller steam locomotives, including one built in 1887 used in the Los Angeles Harbor for a record 68 years of service.
  • A Pullman private passenger car, caboose, and a racehorse car.
The museum is open free of charge to the general public the second Saturday weekend of each month, by entering at Fairplex Gate #1 on McKinley Ave. Tours and events for special groups are often accommodated by advance request. The museum is located near the Yellow Gate entrance during The Los Angeles County Fair. Information (909) 623-0190, or visit railgiants.org.
