San Bernardino most dangerous city in California, study claims

San Bernardino was named California's most dangerous city in a recently published study.

The study, performed by the law firm Graham Donath, used FBI data, information from police departments and statistics from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Crime data was pulled from the most recent FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting program, which reflects data for 2014.

Overall rankings were compiled by emphasizing three key categories: Crime, police and community.

Out of the 68 California cities polled, San Bernardino ranked second highest in crime, and ninth from last in police and community.

Overall, San Bernardino topped Stockton and Modesto for the most dangerous city in the state, according to the study.

Other notable Southern California cities included: Pomona at No. 8, Victorville at No. 9, Inglewood at No. 10, Lancaster at No. 13 and Riverside at No. 15.
