David Bowie Fringe of the Fringe Festival 2016
July 29 – August 13, 2016
The 2016 dA Fringe of the Fringe will be dedicated to David Bowie. The extravaganza will be dedicated to Acceptance, Tolerance, Music, Art, Fashion, Cinema, Dance, Theater, Celebration, Beauty, Curiosity, and All Things Creative, Smart, Stylish, and Good in tribute to David Bowie.
All ages are invited to participate
Here is the calendar & information about being part of this Festival:
Friday evening, July 29th – Last Friday Art Performance Night at the dA 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
The evening will consist of a variety of presentations short art acts. All disciplines of the Creative ARTS are encouraged - art, music, dance, literature, theatre, film, performance art, comedy, fashion, juggling, and your imagination is your limitation. The goal is to further promote the dA as a safe place venue where all are welcome.
Saturday, July 30th – Art Exhibition Reception With Bowie tribute sets by various bands starts at 7pm
Thursday August 4 - Mic & Dim Lights starts at 9 pm
Saturday, August 6, 2016 Family Fringe 10 am - Music Students from the dA Youth Violin Camp led by Sara Edinger Murphy will perform a concert, Theatre students from San Gabriel Valley Region Center & Pomona Unified Adults in Transition program led by Nohemi Camacho will each present a short comedy skit, and the dA Saturday Imagination kids will present a creative art project for their family and friends.
Saturday nights, August 6th – Bowie Movies & music dance party starts 7:30 pm suggested donation $5
Sunday Night August 7 Drum Circle 6 pm Bring your own drum or there will be some at the dA to use.
Saturday, August 13th – 2nd Saturday Artwalk Fashion show, costume party, rock star, cross-dressing, drag extravaganza parade, and prizes.

Share your painting, photo, collage, sculptural, multimedia, drawing, installation, or a creation which has Bowie as its subject or inspiration, fill out this form

Art Exhibition Information:
Each submitted artwork will require a $10 handling fee, and there can be no more than two artworks per person.
Artwork Drop-off :
July 20 – 23 Noon – 4 pm / July 21 Noon – 8:30 pm or by appointment[masked]
Bowie Fans are invited to celebrate their Hero in art, music, and fashion.
Musicians are invited to perform sets of Bowie songs on Saturday July 30.
