Brush fire closes NB 5 Fwy at 14 Fwy in Newhall

 

NEWHALL, SANTA CLARITA (KABC) --

A small brush fire shut down the northbound side of the 5 Freeway near the 14 Freeway interchange in Newhall Tuesday.

The 3-acre brush fire started around 3:40 p.m. along the shoulder of the 5 Freeway, south of Calgrove Boulevard.

Firefighters worked to put out the blaze amid low winds and gloomy conditions.
