Blue-haired woman caught tagging DTLA landmarks arrested

A 37-year-old woman caught on camera defacing historical landmarks in downtown Los Angeles was identified and arrested on Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

LAPD officers from the Hollenbeck Division were patrolling the area of 1st Street and Soto Avenue in Los Angeles when they detained Victoria Jayne Bay for possessing an open container in public.

Soon after, officers recognized the suspect as the woman caught on surveillance video spray-painting and defacing several historical building in DTLA, including the Hall of Justice.

LASD officials investigating the case responded and positively identified Bay as the woman in the video.

Bay, a blue-haired transient woman of L.A., was arrested for felony vandalism and booked at Century Regional Detention Facility. She was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
