Pilot killed in small plane crash in San Antonio Heights area; wreckage recovery underway

 

SAN ANTONIO HEIGHTS, Calif. (KABC) --

The wreckage of a small plane was found in the San Antonio Heights area Tuesday after a plane flying in the area was reported missing earlier in the morning.

The pilot, an unidentified man, was killed in the crash, according to the San Bernardino County Fire Department.

Ian Gregor with the FAA said a Piper PA-28 flying from Upland to Riverside was reported missing around 5 a.m.
The wreckage was found near Mountain and Euclid avenues.
