When the Chaffey Brothers developed their Ontario colony, they also developed promotional materials boasting the warm, sunny climate of Southern California. They weren’t the only ones to do this. In fact, many boosters over the years to the present day have lured folks from the cold eastern and Midwest climates using palm trees, sunshine, and fruit.
