United Pomona Valley MEChA is hosting a workshop for the student bodies of Pomona and beyond. Learn how to apply for scholarships in this hands on workshop from students that have successfully submitted and won scholarships.
We will have a representative from Mount San Antonio College inform us about different scholarships students can apply for. Subsequently, we will focus on the Latina/o Roundtable's Social Justice Scholarship by facilitating talking circles in order to help students learn more about themselves in order to fully respond to the Scholarship's prompt. Finally, we will give students a chance to type/write their responses, and we will have past recipients and professors revise students' responses to the prompt.
